When I was deciding which models to focus on at The Portrait Masters, Cianna jumped out at me. She was SO willing to help the photographers and do whatever poses they chose. She worked so hard… She had a smile that would light up the room and was just stunning to photograph. In fact, I went back to her several times… I kept thinking she’d be a cool chick to hang out with!

Here she is… isn’t she gorgeous? Check her out on Instagram!

A Caring Heart

Maura is such a beautiful person inside and out… involved in animal rescue and other great causes. Her and I chat often on Facebook about different things and she is always willing to lend a helping hand.

She is always reaching out to help others, so I was so happy to have her, her husband and 2 children in the studio to create a little something special for her. Thank you Maura for all your continued support and help! You’ve been one of my biggest cheerleaders and I appreciate you <3

Bringing JOY To The World

I had the pleasure of photographing local Instagram icon Meghan Joy Yancy (check her out!) and 3 of her girls at my studio. I absolutely love following her and seeing all the adorable photos of her family.

I cannot explain how sweet, kind, well behaved, and amazingly cooperative these girls were. They are exactly the kind of girls you want your own daughter to hang around with!

It was such a joy photographing you and your family Meghan… all the best to you!

Beautiful Models

When I attended the Portrait Masters conference in Phoenix in September to further my portrait education, one of my favorite parts was photographing some of the incredible models there. It was such a great experience to try different lighting scenarios and directing strangers… although they sure made it easy! Aren’t these ladies lovely?

My Mother's Day Wish

Several years ago, my daughter and I spent a good part of Mother’s Day in my studio trying to take a self portrait of us. We had lots of fun and laughs, but I never really quite got the portrait I was looking for. Self portraits are hard! A timer is great, but hitting focus, and more importantly posing, is nearly impossible.

Fast forward to this year and when my daughter asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day, I told her to go in and take some new portraits of us. “Whatever you want Mommy, it’s your special day” was my response. {{heart melt}} We grabbed the curling iron, some makeup and browsed the studio wardrobe for some dresses and headed to the studio!

We had so much fun doing portraits. We set up a mirror this time so I could at least have an idea of our posing, and although it was tough, I’m super happy with some of the images we captured. My daughter loves using the camera, so she had a great time (and did a great job!) posing me and taking some pictures of me as well. Finish it off with her “jumping” photos because she wanted some of her hair flipped up, and we both checked off our goal pictures for the day!

Portraits matter… they matter to me, and I’m glad they matter to her. These are memories we will have forever - and the pictures to prove it. Schedule your mother/child session today… not only for the images you will cherish for a lifetime, but for the experience you will remember!

Savannah was one of the models at The Portrait Masters, and something about her just caught my attention immediately. She is supermodel gorgeous, but the sweetest girl in the world. She’s got a bright future ahead of her in modeling. Check her out on Instagram!

Holiday Fun

I suggested my administrative assistant extraordinaire Bonnie bring in her grandchildren before Christmas to take portraits and surprise her kids with some fun images. We initially planned to do a “box session”, but it didn’t take long for me to get the kids dressed up and take some great portraits also! The little ones LOVED twirling in their dresses and having their hair blown by the fan. You can just see the joy in their eyes.

The girls’ dresses are part of my studio wardrobe and available for your session as well!

Aren’t these fun??

The Most Handsome Brothers

These two were amazing to photograph. Nadav stepped in front of my camera and I just about fell over with the gorgeous images, he was a perfect model. His brother followed suit with little to no direction. I love photographing kids!

I’m so excited their Mom decided to put this portrait of the two of them up large on the wall… where it belongs!
